Associate professor at Le Mans Université in France since 2014, Alain specializes in fluid–rock interactions and their occurrences in sedimentary basins (water, hydrocarbons, magma). He also develops new experimental setups to study these interactions using novel analogue materials and models especially adapted to the study of anisotropic rocks

Research interests: fluid-rock interactions, fluid migrations in porous media, mechanism of hydraulic fracturing, anisotropy, experimental modelling
