Diego is Associate Professor at the ETSI de Caminos, Canales y Puertos of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. He holds a PhD in saturated and unsaturated soils behaviour and modelling at the Geotechnical Laboratory of CEDEX (Spain). He has been a postdoctoral researcher at the École des Ponts (Paris, France) and London College University (UCL, UK).

Research interests: geomechanics, CO2 geological storage, coupled chemo-hydro-mechanics modelling, rock and cement, unsaturated behaviour, constitutive and numerical modelling
