Discontinuities in CO2 Storage Reservoirs

Teresa M. PiquéManagement board member

Y-TEC

Teresa is a researcher in the Formation Physics group at Y-TEC, she holds a researcher position at the Argentine National Research Council (CONICET) and is a lecturer at Buenos Aires University where she teaches innovative materials for the construction industry. In recent years, she has transitioned from working in man-made/synthetic porous media to natural rocks for energetic and environmental applications. She approached CCS by analyzing the chemo-mechanical response of oil-well cement slurries interacting with supercritical CO2 and is currently working on rock mechanics for underground storage purposes

Research interests: rock mechanics for underground fluid storage, state-of-the-art cement slurries for deep wells
