Germán Rubino

Germán Rubino is a permanent staff researcher of CONICET in the Department of Computational Mechanics at the Bariloche Atomic Center (CNEA), Argentina. He has received the J. Clarence Karcher Award of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, and the "Estimulo" Award of the National Academy of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences of Argentina. Since 2016, Germán is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Seismic Exploration. He has published more than 50 manuscripts in leading topical journals, and he is regarded as one of the preeminent experts in the field of poroelasticity and its applications to fractured rocks

Research interests: Analysis of seismic waves in fluid-saturated porous media, with particular emphasis on characterization of fractured rocks
