Remigio Ruiz

Y-TEC

Remigio Ruiz is a researcher in the Formation Physics group at Y-TEC. He is a geologist and PhD graduate from the Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP) and a researcher of CONICET. In recent years he has specialized in structural diagenesis, characterizing natural fracture using petrography, fluid inclusion techniques and Raman spectroscopy to establish fluid conditions, fracture chronology in burial history seeking a better understanding of fracture and cementation mechanisms. He also holds a teaching assistant position at the Facultad de Ciencias Naturales y Museo (Argentina)

Research interests: structural diagenesis, fluid inclusion, Raman spectroscopy, fluids in diagenetic and hydrothermal systems
