Serhii Lozovyi

SINTEF

Serhii works as research scientist at SINTEF in Trondheim, Norway. His main research focus lies in experimental rock physics. Serhii leads several projects that utilize a unique low frequency pressure cell that allow for measuring seismic rock properties in a broad frequency range with application for seismic data interpretation. Serhii received his PhD in Rock Physics from Norwegian University of Science and Technology and Bs & Ms degrees in Geotechnical Engineering from Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Ukraine

Research interests: effect of partial saturation on wave velocities in rocks, velocity dispersion in fluid-saturated rocks, stress dependence of wave velocities in rocks, static vs. dynamic stiffness of rocks
